desensitization and psycho-physiological interventions such as evidence-based breath regulation and evidence-based acupressure to soothe the sympathetic nervous system and to down regulate the amygdala.  The combined effect of these interventions is used to target subcortical conditioned responses for desensitization and counter conditioning.  This approach is primarily behavioral in nature but this seminar also builds on the cognitive components from Level 1 and offers additional cognitive interventions.  It offers specific resources in the treatment of anxiety, anger, sadness and shame.  It also provides training in two inventories for measuring emotional regulation outcomes.
